B Travel and Tourism was one of the first degree program offered in the college. This was in keeping with the demands of the Tourism industry as Wayanad is a place of tourism and lakhs of tourist visit the various tourists spots of Wayanad. The introduction of this course was in view of the numerous employment opportunities that would arise in the tourism industry.

The students who have passed out of BA Tourism program were remarkably inducted into various Tourists institutions not only of Wayanad but also beyond the district to the State and even abroad. Several students have pursued higher studies in Tourism. The Tourism Department in the college offers regular classes with appropriate internship in various firms in and out of Kerala to get firsthand experience and training. The National two weeklong tour is one of the annual feature and an attraction. The Seminars, workshops, Exhibitions and interaction with guest speakers and eminent personnel working in the field are a normal feature.
